Can we win the
security game?
Will attempt to answer this question.
MEITSEC
is a unique event not only among other events around the Middle
East, but in that it differs from year to year. This year
MEITSEC’04 will get down deep into every aspect of IT security
and related issues from the legislative & police arena to the
heavy bits inside any intelligent machine; all passing by Risk
Management, Non-Traditional IT Security and the new ‘Gray
Reddish Hat’ as a combination of ‘White Hat’, ‘Red Hat’ and
‘Black Hat’.
This year
MEITSEC‘04 will have an impressive array of worldwide recognized
speakers currently advising top management in competitive
companies around the region and abroad. These high caliber
professionals come well-qualified to address key issues to
management concerns. As we know top management people are a
tough audience for the IT security message – they have already
heard enough horror stories, zone out when too many technical
details are presented and may not follow advice given.
MEITSEC’04 addresses this dilemma. It will discuss difficult
security related management issues with an eye on business
goals, impacting its thoughts on such topics as: How should
corporate accounting show losses from computer/network crime
incidents?, What’s the return on investment for various
approaches to IT security awareness and spending?, Is top
management security’s weakest link?, and What are the
anticipated security costs of business partnerships?
